For researchers, the translatability of the Qur'an is not limited to its exegesis of utmost importance is also the question of getting across some of its structural forms, particularly the functional ones. Such translation effort not only endeavours to echo the ‘meanings’ of the Qur'an, but also the language in which they are encapsulated. Considering the linguistic, cultural and spatiotemporal divide between the language of the Qur'an and other languages, there is no denying the enormity of the translator's task, however it is equally evident that the Qur'an has for a long time been translated into other languages. At all textual levels, Qur'an translators are met with monumental, some would claim almost insurmountable, challenges.
